The Kaduna State Government has sought investment and support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This appeal was made by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, during an event celebrating the 93rd National Day of Saudi Arabia in Kano.
In her address, Deputy Governor Balarabe expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their goodwill and continued support to Nigeria, particularly the states of Kano and Kaduna. She took the opportunity to highlight that Kaduna State is open for business and encouraged further investment from Saudi Arabia, particularly in areas such as education and health.
Representing the absent Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, Deputy Governor Balarabe conveyed warm felicitations to the Consul General and the people of Saudi Arabia. She emphasized the importance of Saudi Arabia’s support in contributing to various areas of collaboration, especially in the field of human capital development.
She concluded her remarks by congratulating Saudi Arabia on its National Day celebration and expressed hope for continued cooperation between the Kingdom and Kaduna State.
The event was hosted by His Excellency Khalil Ahmed Alwami, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and was attended by various dignitaries, including the Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, who served as the guest of honour. Deputies of the Governors of Kaduna, Jigawa, Gombe, and Zamfara States were also present, along with representatives of traditional leaders such as the Emir of Kano and the Sultan of Sokoto, government officials, business leaders, and other prominent individuals.
